Bereavement Counselling
Losing someone or something important to you can turn your world upside down. Grief can bring sadness, anger, guilt, numbness, relief or confusion, sometimes all at once, and it rarely follows a neat path. Bereavement counselling offers a space to be with whatever you are feeling.

How bereavement counselling can help
-
Space to grieve: Counselling gives you time to talk about your loss and the person you are grieving, in a confidential and non judgemental space, at your own pace.
-
Feeling understood: Many people feel others expect them to have moved on. In counselling your feelings are accepted as they are, however long it has been.
-
Making sense of your loss: Grief is different for everyone and does not happen in fixed stages. Together we can explore what your loss means to you and how it is affecting your life now.
-
When grief feels stuck: Sometimes grief stays intense for a long time or is tangled up with other difficult experiences. Counselling can help you work through what feels unresolved.
-
Carrying your loss forward: Over time many people find ways to honour the person they have lost while slowly rebuilding a life that has meaning for them.
