Anger Management

Anger is a normal human emotion, but when it feels out of control it can damage relationships, work and how you feel about yourself. Often anger sits on top of other feelings such as hurt, fear, shame or stress. Counselling offers a space to understand your anger rather than simply trying to push it down.

How counselling can help with anger

  • Understanding your triggers: Together we can explore the situations, memories and pressures that tend to set off your anger, and what might lie underneath it.

  • Noticing the early signs: Counselling can help you become more aware of what happens in your body and mind as anger builds, giving you more choice about how you respond.

  • Expressing yourself safely: Many people find it easier to say what they need and set boundaries calmly once they feel heard and understood themselves.

  • Reducing stress: When life feels overwhelming, anger often comes out sooner. Exploring what is weighing on you can ease some of that pressure.

  • Repairing relationships: Counselling can support you as you rebuild trust with the people who matter to you and feel more in control.
